Since 1995, Change Through Digital Inclusion (CDI), a network of 821 centers, has been bringing information and communication technology (ICT) to low-income communities. In this project, they plan to expand their work at five CDI community centers in Northeast Brazil using the five-step CDI methodology: understand the world; research local issues; plan social action; mobilize the plan; and evaluate the outcomes.
The educational program is just getting underway, following the summer break. Here is a video of the project in action.
Findings & Achievements:
To date, we have systematized our evaluation system aimed at documenting the advances in technical and soft skills, changes in ambition and aspiration and intentions to carry on learning.
Collaboration within Catalyst:
The five centers in which the program is being run are all partnerships with local organizations, who may run their own educational and social programs.
It would be great to if there were some tutorials for the equipment and how to make best use of it.
